Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with burning emotion:

“They want to be teachers of the law, but they do not know what they are talking about or what they so confidently affirm.”
(1 Timothy 1:7)

Deliver me from such people, Jesus!

You know how intimidated I am by those who appear to know the Bible better than I.

I confess that I don’t spend enough time studying Your Word

leaving me susceptible to false teachers who take advantage of my feelings of guilt.

I confess that when I do read the Bible, I don’t always understand it –

which leaves me vulnerable to error.

I’m not the sharpest knife in the drawer

so there are times when I’m afraid to speak up and challenge suspicious teachings.

Grant me Your discernment, Holy Spirit!

so that I will be able to reject the lies of Satan

and drink in nothing but Your Truth.
