Lazaroo – Monday, September 14, 2009
Sep 14, 2009 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with fervid faith:
“Edom may say, “Though we have been crushed, we will rebuild the ruins.”
(Malachi 1:4)
But the people of Edom were wrong, weren’t they, LORD?
Unless You build the house
the builders are just wasting their time.
Unless You watch over a city, state or nation
not even the most powerful army on earth can protect it.
No matter how hard I try I can’t
eat healthy foods
make good money
graduate from school
have a great marriage
build strong friendships
get in top physical shape
maintain a positive attitude
enjoy a successful life in any way, shape or form
unless You make it happen.
That’s an affront to my pride.
It keeps me from being able to stand up tall and boast that I am
self-made.
It forces me –
if I am honest –
to humble myself
to bow my head and admit
only You.

Chris Chaudoin Says:
I’ve recently started working out (about 6 weeks or so) and been feeling pretty good about myself. This prayer was a good reminder that every part of my life even being in top physical shape (yes I’ve got a long way to go, it’s only been 6 weeks) is in God’s control. Thanks for keeping me humble.
