Lazaroo – Tuesday, November 24, 2009

Nov 24, 2009 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with white-hot fervor:

“The priest shall take a handful of the fine flour and oil, together with all the incense, and burn this as a memorial portion on the altar, an offering made by fire, an aroma pleasing to the LORD.”
(Leviticus 2:2)

I think I understand why You wanted Your people to offer these things to You, Jesus.

When we give You something we value

it shows we value You.

But You didn’t tell them to merely lay it on the altar and leave it there.

You told them to burn it up.

You wanted to inhale the sweet-smelling aroma of an offering made by fire.

Could it be…

that this is not just about flour, oil and incense?

Are You saying

this is how You want me to offer myself to You?

As a living sacrifice

made deeply fragrant

as I stay true to You through these trials of fire?

Greetings;Being a living sacrifice jesus. The trials that I pass through and make it,by Your love and Grace. The giving up of those things that I hold dear to me.The passing of the plate at church, giving less than I could give Jesus, are times when I fail a trial.Forgive me Jesus for not being the living sacrifice that I could and should be for you,and thank you Jesus for the victory in being the living sacrifice that You expect me to be.
