Lazaroo – Sunday, December 20, 2009
Dec 20, 2009 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with utter abandon:
“I answered the king, ‘If it pleases the king and if your servant has found favor in his sight, let him send me to the city in Judah where my fathers are buried so that I can rebuild it.’”
(Nehemiah 2:5)
There’s always some “king” to please, Jesus.
boss
family
voters
friends
boards
officials
councils
members
coworkers
employees
somebody standing between me and
what I want to do
what I can see needs to be done
even what I believe You’ve called me to do.
Why is that?
Why do I have to keep asking permission –
getting buy-in
making appeals
gathering consensus?
I thought getting older would mean I could make my own decisions and chart my own course.
But it doesn’t.
You did this on purpose, didn’t You?
Just to insure that for any of us to get anything done
Your kids would have to do it
together.
