Lazaroo – Tuesday, December 22, 2009
Dec 22, 2009 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in holy anticipation:
“Since it was customary for the king to consult experts in matters of law and justice, he spoke with the wise men who understood the times…”
(Esther 1:13-14)
This is good, Jesus.
Wise leaders consult with “experts,” trusted friends, experienced advisors to help them view the issue from every side.
When I’m faced with important decisions, I know that’s what You want me to do.
But no matter how smart or well-meaning
my counselors are just as subject to human error as am I.
They don’t always agree.
And even when they do, that doesn’t make them right.
After I’ve done all my research and weighed every piece of advice
it still all comes down to my relationship with You.
Do I know You and Your Word well enough to discern
when to go with the majority
when to go with the minority
and when to stand alone?
