Lazaroo – Sunday, October 17, 2010

Oct 17, 2010 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with a heart aching to give God more:

“After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, ‘Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star in the east and have come to worship him.’”
(Matthew 2:1-2)

That’s what I want to learn to do, Jesus:

worship You.

I know You’re the “King of the Jews.”
You’re the King of all races, all peoples, all nations, all humankind.

You’re my King.

So why do I still fall short in my worship?

Why do I fail to worship You the way I desire –

the way You deserve?

Not just a little.
A lot.

Not half-heartedly.
Full-on.

Not distractedly
but with crystal-clear focus.

Not constantly polluted by self-awareness –
but with a heart, soul and mind so full of You

there’s no room for self-obsession.

  1. Rm Thomasson Says:

Amen … why is it so difficult to close everything out. Powers and Principalities bombard us. Self-awareness, maybe we need the shawls that they used at one time to cover themselves so they could focus on God and not themselves or others. Satan wants to keep us this way you know – he laughs when he is successful.
