Lazaroo – Monday, October 18, 2010
Oct 18, 2010 I Lazaroo.
Be alert to the Holy Spirit’s promptings as you pray aloud the words of this Lazaroo:
“When the girls returned to Reuel their father, he asked them, ‘Why have you returned so early today?’ They answered, ‘An Egyptian rescued us from the shepherds. He even drew water for us and watered the flock.’ ‘And where is he?’ he asked his daughters. ‘Why did you leave him? Invite him to have something to eat.’”
(Exodus 2:18-20)
How many times have I done this, Jesus?
Moses risked his life to help these girls
but it didn’t occur to them
to do anything for him.
No, that wasn’t why Moses helped them.
He helped the girls simply because they needed help –
without any thought for what they might do for him.
But they should have been the ones asking what they could do
for this man who had done so much for them.
Is there anyone like this in my life
I am overlooking?

Steve Says:
Hey, Jeane – My deepest apologies. My responsibilities have multiplied. Lately, I’ve battled getting the Lazaroos out one minute after midnight, which is always my goal. Hopefully, I’ll get back on my early schedule very soon. Meanwhile, whenever you look for your Lazaroo and find it posted later than usual…you’ll know to pray for me!
