Lazaroo – Monday, October 25, 2009
Oct 25, 2010 I Lazaroo.
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with dawning awareness:
“They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.”
(Acts 1:14)
What a ride, Jesus.
Your followers…Your family…had to be in shock.
For 30 years they had watched You become an awesome man of God.
For the next three years they saw You do things –
heard You say things –
they never imagined they would experience in their lifetimes.
Just about the time they finally concluded You were, in fact, the long-promised Messiah…
Your enemies killed You.
But since You were not only an awesome man of God
but God the awesome man…
You rose from the dead.
After spending 40 days with them You returned to heaven
right before their eyes.
And what did they do?
They joined together and prayed.
Constantly.
Couldn’t they think of anything better to do?
Apparently not.
Then…
neither can I.
