Lazaroo – Monday, November 7, 2011

Nov 07, 2011 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in awed reflection:

“Because of the violence against your brother Jacob, you will be covered with shame; you will be destroyed forever.”
(Obadiah 1:10)

“Forever” is a long time, Jesus…

but as soon as I say that, I give myself away:

“Forever” isn’t actually a long time.

It’s apart from time.
It’s a state in which time as I know it

doesn’t exist.

I have a beginning.

“Forever” doesn’t.
It always was.

On this earth, nearly everything around me appears to have an end.

“Forever” doesn’t.
It always will be.

Time is temporary, sequential, measurable.

“Forever” is none of those things.
It simply “is.”

When You tell me one person is going to be destroyed “forever”
and another person is going to live “forever”

I’m staring reality square in the face.

There’s no, “Better luck next time!
There is no next time.

Everything I do for You

is for keeps.

It is so sad that it is sometimes so difficult to reach the lost with how the result of accepting or denying His love .. by an act or process leads to “forever”. We just need to plant those seeds, because only HE knows which forever each will have. I think I (may) have understanding now on why there will be no tears in heaven .. even those tears of Joy to be with Him. Those we tried to reach will be in no memory .. they will be erased from ever existing .. because where they will be will be in no part of Gods forever.
