Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in no-holds-barred surrender:

“For there are many rebellious people…”
(Titus 1:10)

I couldn’t begin to count the number of people

who boldly thumb their noses at You, Jesus.

However, You can.

You know exactly how many.

In fact, it goes a little farther than that:

You know their names –
first, middle and last.

You know where they live –
city, state, zip.

You know their phone numbers –

published or private
land line or cell.

But You won’t be calling them up on the phone.

You can speak to them directly –

through curses
withdrawal of blessings
catastrophic circumstances.

Or by waiting a while longer
saving it up for them
in Hell.

Yeah…

I don’t much think I want to rebel.

I’d rather please You in everything I

think
say
do.

Because since You know

my name
address
phone

that will make it an extremely simple thing

for You to bless my socks off.
