Lazaroo – Thursday, April 18, 2013
1 comment, Apr 18, 2013
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with holy fire in your eyes:
“Demetrius is well spoken of by everyone – and even by the truth itself.”
(3 John 1:12)
It’s not enough to have everybody like me, is it, Jesus?
Popularity isn’t the criterion for who pleases You.
The opinions of the crowd are like the blowing of the wind –
first it blows this way
then it blows that.
For awhile I’m the greatest thing since sliced bread
but let me do one thing they don’t like
and I’m toast.
Doesn’t matter whether what I did was right.
They don’t care!
All they care about
is how it affects them.
If it enhances
their pleasure
their comfort
their sense of fairness
their bottom line
they’re fine with it.
But if it inconveniences them
requires sacrifice
demands unexplained trust
forget it.
The crowd is fickle.
You’re not.
So I have to decide whom to live for:
You…
or the crowd.

I’ve been toast so many times with my family and friends BUT God always sees me as “sliced bread”. Isn’t that great!
