Lazaroo – Tuesday, April 2, 2013
2 comments, Apr 02, 2013
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in humble obedience:
“He must hold firmly to the trustworthy message as it has been taught, so that he can encourage others by sound doctrine and refute those who oppose it.”
(Titus 1:9)
I’ve got to remember this, Jesus.
Help me, Holy Spirit!
Your message – Your good news
that all who place their faith in You alone for salvation
will receive eternal life –
has another purpose, as well:
to refute false teachers.
I would far rather all my duties involve
happy tasks
popular assignments
sunshiny skies dotted with rose-hued clouds.
But You’re searching for someone
willing to do Your heavy lifting
someone who will go to those leading others astray
have a tough conversation
take the required action
someone who thinks so much of Your reputation
that they are willing to endanger their own.
By Your grace
when You call
I will be that person.
