Lazaroo – Tuesday, March 12, 2013
No comments, Mar 12, 2013
Take warning, as you pray aloud the words of this Lazaroo:
“Yet you have disobeyed me. Why have you done this? Now therefore I tell you that I will not drive them out before you…”
(Judges 2:2-3)
That’s the price for my disobedience, isn’t it, Jesus?
Life becomes harder.
Clean fields become full of weeds.
Previously dependable cars break down.
Good health disintegrates into sickness.
Since I refuse to follow You
You stop clearing the path before me.
That’s not to say that faithfully obeying You means I will never experience my share of problems.
I seem to remember that You were:
“despised and rejected”
“a man of sorrows”
“familiar with suffering”
even though You were perfect, without sin.
Beyond that –
loyalty to You means I make a dedicated enemy of Satan.
He will attack and attack and attack me for the rest of my life.
But when it comes to choosing sworn enemies…
rather than You
I choose Him.
