Lazaroo – Sunday, February 10, 2013
1 comment, Feb 10, 2013
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with sold-out surrender:
“He spread a net for my feet and turned me back.”
(Lamentations 1:13)
How dare he, Jesus?
Your prophet is complaining – about You!
He’s accusing You of setting him up – of calling him to do a job
that was flat-out impossible.
You warned him his assignment would be difficult
told him in no uncertain terms he would get pushback
then promised he would win in the end.
But now, as he looks all around him…
he concludes he’s lost.
And it wasn’t his fault!
He gave it everything he had
to no avail.
So he feels betrayed by You –
like an animal enticed by the hunter’s bait
until its feet are caught in the net.
By faith, he’s come all this way
invested all these years in obedience to You
and come up empty.
Except he hasn’t!
As with me…
the last chapter hasn’t been written.
You’re not done.

Jeff Gregory Says:
I relate to this one more than any of the others, I think. I have had a similar situation a few years back, and it has effected my walk ever since. I even wrote a letter to God concerning it (on my blog). From this end of it, I can see how people get fatally discouraged with a shattered faith..
