Lazaroo – Tuesday, December 11, 2012
1 comment, Dec 11, 2012
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, from a heart exploding in worship:
“When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me and said: ‘Do not be afraid.’”
(Revelation 1:17)
If You appeared to me, that’s what I’d do too, Jesus –
fall at Your feet.
It wouldn’t be just a little trip, either – five seconds on the ground, then hop back up.
I’d be down for the count.
That’s the only appropriate response to Your Majesty:
total collapse.
But then You do for me what you did for John:
You put your right hand on me and tell me:
“Don’t be afraid.”
You invite me to stand in Your Presence.
You invite me to spend time with You
in prayer
in Your Word.
You tell me not to be afraid
because You will never leave me
never walk out on me
which means in You
I’m safe.
