Lazaroo – Sunday, November 11, 2012
1 comment, Nov 11, 2012
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with burning emotion:
“…strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully giving thanks to the Father…”
(Colossians 1:11-12)
I’ve given You thanks when I was joyless, Father –
not because of what I was feeling
but because of what I know:
that You’re loving
all-powerful
incredibly compassionate
unimaginably kind
incomprehensibly wise
that You know what’s best for Your kingdom
and for me
but most remarkably of all…
that those two
are one and the same!
So by faith, when I’m confronted with a decision:
All I have to do is lean on You
to help me figure out what’s best for Your kingdom
knowing when I discover that
and act accordingly–
everything will turn out right for me
which is when my joyless thanks
gets filled to overflowing with joy!
Thank You!
Thank You!
Oh, how I thank You, LORD Jesus!
Amen!
