Lazaroo – Monday, May 7, 2012

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with every fiber of your being:
“…he must be…one…who is disciplined…”
(Titus 1:7-8)
I am disciplined, Jesus!
…in some things.
But not in everything.
So I guess there are two dangers with that, aren’t there?
I might see where I’m strong
conclude that I’m a very disciplined person
and totally ignore where I’m weak.
It’s a little hard for me to keep growing
when I’m blind to the areas I need to improve.
Or…
I might be so devastated by my weaknesses
that I conclude I’m a totally undisciplined person
and think there’s no point in trying.
It’s hard to become everything You’ve created me to be
when I’m so sure I’ll fail
that I think it’s not worth the effort.
Please open my blind eyes
to see the gaps that need to be filled.
But don’t allow me to discount
the beautiful work You’ve already begun in my life.
