Lazaroo – Friday, February 17, 2012
1 comment, Feb 17, 2012
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, from the depths of your grateful soul:
“God handed the Hagrites and all their allies over to them, because they cried out to him during the battle.”
(1 Chronicles 5:20)
Hear my cry, Jesus.
Hear my cry.
I’m in the battle!
The fighting all around me is fierce.
Everywhere I turn, there’s a new attack.
The forces arrayed against me are overwhelming.
My only hope is You.
But when I’m tempted to throw up my hands in surrender
I suddenly remember I’m not alone in this battle.
This is Your battle.
You’re fighting it with me.
The moment I cry out in panic
I realize You never left my side.
So why do I get like this?
It’s because I forget, don’t I?
You’re always with me
in me.
I have to cry out
not to get Your attention
not to persuade You to run to my rescue
but to remind myself
You’re here.

Pastor Steve, thanks once again for all of these thoughts and scriptures you dedicate yourself to with God’s direction to help us in our everyday lives. This world can be cruel at times but He is always there, all we have to do is reach out for Jesus, He is reaching out to us.
