Lazaroo – Wednesday, December 21, 2011

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with renewed resolve:
“Then the LORD said to Satan, ‘Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil. And he still maintains his integrity, though you incited me against him to ruin him without any reason.’”
(Job 2:3)
Maintaining my integrity is no easy task, Jesus.
It’s tough enough when things are going well.
But the more challenging my circumstances, the harder it gets –
especially when Satan sticks some really attractive temptation
right under my nose.
When I make a mistake that costs me big time
I struggle with anger and frustration
with compromising my standards
because I have no one to blame but myself.
But the one that just about kills me…
is when I do everything as right as I know how
and it still blows up in my face.

Pastor Steve, I sincerely needed to hear this today. I am leaving for Myanmar in 2 weeks and just recently found out that I will be taking a large chunk of time from work unpaid. This all when my first mortgage payment is due on my new house. I firmly decided that Satan was not going to allow that disheartening news dampen my spirit for what I am about to do. God has provided for me in ways I never thought possible and this will be no different. Thank you for being a vessel. It means a lot.
