Lazaroo – Monday, November 28, 2011

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in grateful humility:
“I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.”
(Romans 1:16)
Well, that’s pretty clear.
Your salvation is offered to everyone who believes –
which is awesome.
That sounds incredibly fair.
But the thing is…
it wasn’t offered to everyone at the same time.
The Jews got to hear it first.
Why?
I’m not sure.
You made it clear it wasn’t because they were better than everyone else.
At times they were far worse!
Still, I trust You.
You know best
even though – since I’m not a Jew –
that means I’m last.
But that’s okay.
I’m just happy to get in!
It’s all right that I’m last –
especially since with You, “last” is not such a bad place to be
because You’ve promised:
The last will be first.
