Lazaroo – Thursday, August 25, 2011

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with deep contentment and trust:
“…not satisfied with that…”
(3 John 1:10)
I know that trap well, Jesus.
How much is enough?
…a little bit more.
I’m totally happy with what I have
…until I see what You’ve given somebody else!
Suddenly I’m ill-at-ease
discontent
jealous.
I felt full…
but in an instant I’m left feeling empty.
When is it going to dawn on me that You know what I need
far better than I do?
When am I going to trust You to give it to me
when I need it
where I need it
and not a moment before I’m ready to handle it?
Most of the time more…
is less.
Having too many things
leaves me with too many responsibilities
and not enough time to enjoy what I’ve been given.
Don’t clutter my life, LORD!
Give me lots of space
and the unencumbered freedom
to breathe.

How true clutter in our lives has to be from the evil one. And he surely laughs as he piles it on 🙂
