Lazaroo – Sunday, July 31, 2011

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with sudden clarity:
“They waged war against the Hagrites, Jetur, Naphish and Nodab.”
(1 Chronicles 5:19)
This is the toughest kind of warfare, Jesus –
multiple fronts.
It’s one thing to face a single problem.
It’s another thing entirely to be consumed with one issue
then experience another hit
and another
and another.
At that point, it doesn’t feel normal.
In fact, it isn’t normal.
That’s when I realize…
I’m under attack.
It’s a strange thing –
so long as I think it’s just a bunch of problems
my focus remains on the issues I’m facing.
But when I finally realize Satan is trying to take me down
my spiritual antennae go up
my eyes are opened
and my focus turns to You –
‘cause I know when Satan attacks
You’re my only hope.
Somehow, the pressure drops a thousand
confident that when I turn it all over to You
victory is on its way.
