Lazaroo – Wednesday, July 27, 2011

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in humble trust:
“When the time drew near for David to die, he gave a charge to Solomon his son. ‘I am about to go the way of all the earth,’ he said.”
(1 Kings 2:1-2)
What a humbling time, Jesus.
David was a king.
He was unimaginably wealthy.
He was immensely popular.
The power he wielded was absolute.
If he ordered someone’s execution
it happened instantly.
If he ordered a murderer’s pardon
that person was set free.
He loved You with all his heart.
He inspired his whole nation to follow You.
But when it was his time for him to go, none of that mattered.
He was no different than the least important person in his kingdom.
He couldn’t cheat death.
Neither can I.
Strangely, my death doesn’t seem real –
maybe because I’ve never done it.
But I will.
Please help me make
every
minute
count.

Such great prayers .. and we are all praying that God uses us in His way to make our lives count and Glorify Him.
