Lazaroo – Saturday, June 25, 2011

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with growing awareness:
“She has not acknowledged that I was the one who gave her the grain, the new wine and oil, who lavished on her the silver and gold…“
(Hosea 2:8)
I think it’s me, don’t I, Jesus?
or us
or them.
I keep forgetting –
it’s You.
Sometimes it feels strange
to work hard all week at my job
then thank You when the paycheck comes
to cram all night for a final exam
and be grateful to You when I pass
to mow the lawn
clean the house
wash the car
cook dinner
paint a picture
write a story
compose a song
teach a course
change a diaper
work out at the gym
do a favor for somebody
and thank You for a job well done.
But that’s the gospel truth.
You’re the one who makes possible everything I do.
Oh, my God.
Thank You.

So true Pastor Steve “God is the one who makes possible everything we do and accomplish”.
I remember that first paycheck .. it was so small, but how HE stretched that paycheck, and others would say how do you do that .. how, with that salary … but I knew HE did it .. Or I would accept a position I knew I wasn’t equipped for and succeed! … I knew it wasn’t me.
But now that time is past .. and I will find my self succeeding, and think .. it’s me! ? I wonder if He smiles and raises his eyebrows or just shakes His head. :\ I am so glad He loves us so much, but of course Jesus remembers .. we were but dust.
