Lazaroo – Tuesday, May 17, 2011

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with a loving, grateful heart:
“…many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many.”
(2 Corinthians 1:11)
What is it You like about “the prayers of many,” Jesus?
It’s not the number of words.
There’s not some invisible quota that has to be met.
Sometimes the fewer the words
the better.
Nor is it that You answer only those prayers
prayed by large numbers of people.
We don’t have to get up a petition to get Your attention.
You love it when only two or three people pray to You.
You’ve answered countless numbers of prayers prayed by just one obedient follower
who approached You with a sincere heart.
So why do You like large numbers of us to ask the same thing?
Does it have anything to do with the joy You feel
when all Your kids can finally agree about something?
