Lazaroo – Friday, December 31, 2010
1 comment, Dec 31, 2010
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with no-holds-barred surrender:
“Just as we fully obeyed Moses, so we will obey you.”
(Joshua 1:17)
That sounds great, Jesus!
It would have meant the world to Joshua –
if only he hadn’t been around to see how they “obeyed” Moses.
But he was right there.
He saw the whole thing.
He watched as Your people nearly stoned Moses when they ran out of water.
He listened as Moses argued You out of killing the whole lot of them because of their sin.
He watched with horror as Moses angrily smashed the Ten Commandments
when he caught sight of these “obedient people” running wild in idol worship.
But in spite of the rotten behavior of Your people, Joshua took the job
because You gave it to him.
Dear God!
May I never use the outrageous actions of weak Christians
as an excuse to say “no”
when You give me a job to do.

Amen! A job to do? Makes me realize how we must keep pressing on to share with those whom God opens their hearts to receive. Opposition is bound to come -but God is greater! Thanks Pastor Steve –not just for todays Lazaroo but for your commintment everyday to giving the word, prayer and thought out to us.
