Lazaroo – Wednesday, October 27, 2009

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, in grateful awe:
“…that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith.”
(Romans 1:12)
What an amazing thing it is, Jesus…
…when You place in my life someone of living, throbbing, vibrant, active
faith.
When the faith You have given them
comes in contact with the faith You have given me
there’s nothing like it.
The conviction in both of us deepens
to depths unfathomable.
There is an inexplicable but fiery certainty that You not only can –
but absolutely will –
do the very thing You have laid on both our hearts
in Your way and in Your time
to Your everlasting praise.
It’s impossible to explain to someone to whom You have not yet given
such an outrageous, wholly undeserved gift of faith.
But it is more real
than my last meal
than the breath in my nostrils
than the ground underneath my feet.
