Lazaroo – Saturday, September 18, 2010

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with laser-focused intensity:
“How long will you simple ones love your simple ways? How long will…fools hate knowledge?”
(Proverbs 1:22)
Good question, Jesus.
Not just for those fools “out there.”
For this one, right here.
I don’t have to tell You this isn’t false modesty.
This is my reality.
This is my struggle.
Every time I choose the wrong crowd
I’m a fool.
Every time I color the truth
I’m a fool.
Every time I imagine my way is better than Your way
I’m a fool.
Every time I despise Your discipline
I’m a fool.
Every time I become complacent
I’m a fool.
Every time I blurt out something I’ve heard without considering who it might hurt
I’m a fool.
My only hope is this:
Since You’ve chosen the foolish things of this world to shame the wise…
help me risk everything
to be a fool for You.
