Lazaroo – Saturday, September 11, 2010
1 comment, Sep 11, 2010
Hold nothing back, as you pray this Lazaroo out loud:
“…join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God…”
(2 Timothy 1:8)
This is a tough day, Jesus
worldwide.
For many of us, nothing will ever again be the same after what happened on September 11, 2001.
If we didn’t know it before, we know it now:
It doesn’t matter if we’re tucked away
in the tallest building
in the biggest city
of the most powerful country in the world.
It doesn’t matter
if we’re flying the most reliable airline
or working in the most secure military complex
of all the nations in the world.
Nowhere
is “safe” anymore.
But that’s good to know.
Because there never was anywhere “safe”
except in the absolute center of Your will.
So if I’m going to suffer anyway
why wouldn’t I make the deliberate choice – in Your power –
to suffer for something that matters
for all eternity?

This was the hardest truth to comprehend when I came to Christ, that God had called me to suffer. 1Peter2
