Lazaroo – Tuesday, August 10, 2010

Open your heart and offer the words of this Lazaroo aloud to God:
“But you ask, ‘How have we shown contempt for your name?’”
(Malachi 1:6)
I would never intentionally use Your name as a curse word, Jesus.
But is there any other way I sometimes show contempt for Your name?
What about when I’m facing a really tough problem and somebody suggests I pray about it?
Do I ever feel irritated by such a suggestion?
Do I ever think to myself, “Forget prayer – I need a real solution!”
What about when I worry myself sick?
When I start acting like everything’s going to fall apart?
When I can’t sleep because of some possibility that is gripping me with fear?
Why would I disbelieve Your promise to take care of me?
Why would I ignore the fact that You have everything under control?
Please help me rest in Your unfailing promise:
You will never leave me.
You will never forsake me.

Thanks, I needed this today.
Looking forward to tomorrow nights service, I’m bringing a few co-workers who don’t ever go to church…..they are excited!
