Lazaroo – Sunday, July 18, 2010
1 comment, Jul 18, 2010
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud all the way to the marrow of your bones:
“…graze your young goats by the tents of the shepherds.”
(Song of Songs 1:8)
That’s where young goats – precious new Christians –
need to receive their food, Jesus –
in lush, green pastures
under watchful, loving eyes
of seasoned shepherds.
O God!
Satan attacks so viciously right after someone rejects his lies and chooses You.
He tries to get them to doubt the reality of what they’ve done –
to immediately return to the people, places
and destructive habits
of their old lives.
Oh, how they need solid, Biblical guidance in those early, formative days
under the care of wise, Godly teachers
who know how to steer them in the right direction
to feed them the sweet milk of Your Word
that will make their bones grow strong.
Help me be one or the other –
a new Christian growing rapidly in You –
or a mature, growing believer
shepherding new sheep.

My question to you Steve : Is there ever a time when a Pastor stops loving it’s sheep and takes on a no care attitude? What about forgiveness? Or because they have a leadership role think themselves above forgiveness? Do we all lose out if that should be the case? Just something to chew on!!!!
