Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with sober awareness:

“Unless the LORD Almighty had left us some survivors, we would have become like Sodom, we would have been like Gomorrah.”
(Isaiah 1:9)

That’s exactly what You told Your people would happen, Jesus.

But it didn’t.

Not right away.

You waited 670 years to do what You warned them about

but didn’t want to do.

And then it happened – the devastation You promised.

Hundreds of thousands who deliberately chose to ignore You
paid the price for that choice.

I can’t control what the people of my nation do, LORD.

Although I am trying to be a positive influence

I can’t even control the people closest to me.

No matter what choices others make

I want to be one of Your survivors, Jesus!

Just like Joshua and Caleb, who dared to believe You when everyone else turned their backs on You

help me stand my ground
come what may.
