Lazaroo – Sunday, April 18, 2010
1 comment, Apr 18, 2010
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with burning zeal:
“Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ.”
(Galatians 1:10)
Jesus, I know You want me to
please everybody I can
in every way I can
for You.
But the moment I try to please even one person
instead of You
or even ahead of You
I am no longer Your servant
but theirs
and Satan’s.
Politicians dare not call themselves Christian
unless they’re willing to lose votes.
Parents can’t claim to set a Godly example
unless they’re willing for their children to hate them.
Pastors can’t claim to faithfully lead their flocks
unless they’re willing to lose church members.
When I cannot please You and Your people at the same time
may I always choose
to please You.
