Lazaroo – Monday, March 8, 2010

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with shameless desire:
“Tell me, you whom I love, where you graze your flock and where you rest your sheep at midday. Why should I be like a veiled woman beside the flocks of your friends?”
(Song of Songs 1:7)
Help me learn from this woman, Jesus.
She longed to be with her husband even when he went to work.
If he didn’t tell her where he was going, she would go looking for him – even though his friends might see her wandering from field to field and mistake her for a shrine prostitute.
If necessary, she was willing to suffer shame and disgrace, just to be with the one she loved.
Do I love You that much?
Am I quite content to take “breaks” from You
or am I compelled to cling to You every moment of every day
no matter what my need for You makes others think of me?
