Lazaroo – Friday, February 12, 2010

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with deep reverence:
” In the course of time, David inquired of the LORD. ‘Shall I go up to one of the towns of Judah?’ he asked. The LORD said, ‘Go up.’ David asked, ‘Where shall I go?” ‘To Hebron,’ the LORD answered.”
(2 Samuel 2:1)
After reading this Bible passage I have three requests, Jesus:
1. Please remind me to inquire of You!
I don’t want to make decisions based on my understanding – nor that of so-called “experts” and friends.
I want to go to You first – through Your Word and prayer.
Everyone else guesses.
You know.
2. Help me listen carefully for Your answer!
So many times when I’ve asked for Your guidance I’ve acted before
seeking Godly counsel
researching Your Word for the guiding principle
waiting quietly for the whisper of Your voice within me.
3. And please – answer me
with the same, detailed clarity
You gave to David.
