Lazaroo – Tuesday, February 9, 2010

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with bottomless trust:
“…if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer.”
(2 Corinthians 1:6)
This is a huge concept for me to get hold of, Jesus –
that whatever You do for me
doesn’t stop with me.
That everything You bring into my life –
whether I call it good or bad…pain or pleasure –
has more than one purpose.
It boggles my mind to realize that Your actions in my life not only impact me
but countless people around me
and through their lives
impact the world.
No wonder I’m never quite sure how to pray about the seemingly simple things in my life.
They’re not simple at all.
This world is like a giant Rubik’s Cube.
Every prayer You answer
changes everything.
It’s not just about me, is it?
Not ever.

Awesome, Pastor Steve. I shared this one with several of my friends. It really makes you think.
I try to tell/correct myself as often as I can on certain occasions that, “It is not about me”, but this really put it into perspective as to what God is about.
Thank you
