Lazaroo – Tuesday, December 29, 2009

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with white-hot fervor:
“But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.”
(James 1:6)
That’s my problem, isn’t it, Jesus?
I believe…
…and then I doubt.
I think I’ve
heard from You
understood Your Word
received my marching orders
but almost as soon as I begin to obey
I get pushback
things don’t go the way I expect
and I falter.
On the one hand, I don’t want to be one of those people whose mind can’t be changed, regardless of the facts…
I know You speak through people, through circumstances.
But I also know Satan attacks everyone to whom You’ve given a holy assignment
and his favorite tool is good-hearted, well-meaning people.
Wow.
Right or wrong, I’m in for a fight.
I’d better be sure
I’m in this fight
for You.
