Lazaroo – Monday, December 28, 2009

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with total transparency:
“…we will get all sorts of valuable things and fill our houses with plunder…”
(Proverbs 1:13)
Spare me, Jesus.
Deliver me from people who can’t think two inches beyond the confines of this tiny planet.
Save me from friends
coworkers
family members
the majority of the human race
whose reward is in this life.
May I never play it “safe.”
May I never hedge my bets when it comes to You.
With victory and destruction, joy and terror, heaven and hell on the line
when I come to those two gates
the wide one on my left
the small one on my right
when I stand before that fork in the road
the broad, well-worn highway on my left
that narrow, leaf-strewn path on my right
may I not
blink an eyelash
twitch a muscle
allow my lip to quiver
as I stake
all!
all!
all!
on You.
