Lazaroo – Tuesday, December 15, 2009

Open a vein and bleed the words of this Lazaroo aloud to God:
“…in spite of severe suffering, you welcomed the message with the joy given by the Holy Spirit.”
(1 Thessalonians 1:6)
That’s a level of maturity I’d love to reach, Jesus.
Normally, when my suffering becomes severe, the pain, fear and anguish are so great that I’m unable to experience joy over anything.
Not even a message from Your Word.
That may be natural…
…but it isn’t my goal to stay stuck in the “natural.”
I long to experience the supernatural –
right smack dab in the middle of every single ordinary day of my ordinary life.
To do that, I’m going to have to get my joy from the same source these people did.
Not from a
thing
place
activity
emotion
behavior
human being
circumstance –
But from You, Holy Spirit.
You are the giver of joy when there is no joy to be found.
And so I wait
for You.

Greetings; To look into the eyes of suffering and experience joy that can only be given by the Holy Spirit is awesome. Jesus,I have only You.Your Grace has been experienced-beautiful-in the center of hardship-but You were there.Tears flowed in my heart. Why so far and few between Lord? I am greatfull.Jesus, keep us standing in adversity-with Holy Spirit Joy.
