Lazaroo – Thursday, November 26, 2009
1 comment, Nov 26, 2009
Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with pure devotion:
“…they called the whole community together…”
(Numbers 1:18)
Oh, Jesus.
“The whole community.”
When everybody’s there…when nobody’s missing…
when everyone is happy to be there
glad to see each other
feels like we’re one because we all have the same heart’s desire –
to love and worship You with all our hearts, souls, minds and strength
there’s nothing like it.
“The whole community” might be
my handful of friends who love to hang out with each other
the members of my extended family
my local church
a large gathering of believers in an auditorium, simulcast or stadium
But O God.
One day it really is going to mean “the whole community.”
All Your people worldwide
every tribe, nation, language and tongue
everyone who has ever lived and called on the Name of the LORD
Not here.
Not on this earth.
But there.
With You.
Forever.
Sweet.
