Lazaroo – Saturday, November 21, 2009

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with laser-focused intensity:
“She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”
(Matthew 1:21)
The very meaning of Your Name shouts it, Jesus.
You are the God who saves!
You save me from
bad decisions
catastrophes
mistakes
sickness
enemies
demons
disaster
hunger
attacks
trouble
failure
pain
But that isn’t all.
The people who worship lifeless idols believe their gods can do those things
even though they are wrong.
But You save me
from myself.
No one but You can do that.
You save me from
sin
fear
guilt
pride
fears
anger
futility
despair
the past
sadness
boredom
frustration
heartache
bitterness
loneliness
insignificance
incompetence
hopelessness
purposelessness
Nobody knows me like You do.
Nobody else can fix me.
Give it all I’ve got
Try though I might
I can’t even fix myself.
There is only one.
You.

Amoung all the other failures that You save me from Jesus, its Your leading as the Great Shepherd, forgiving me along the way—to eternity. I am so pleased Father,so pleased that you are slow to wrath,an ever loving, soul comforting God. Gary.
