Lazaroo – Thursday, November 12, 2009

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with God-inspired courage:
“…they threw the cargo into the sea to lighten the ship.”
(Jonah 1:5)
Wow.
Is there anywhere in my life I need to do that, Jesus?
What baggage am I carrying that is
slowing my pace
weighing me down
keeping me from achieving what You’ve put me on this earth to do?
It’s hard to let go of things I’ve always done
even when it’s obvious to me and everyone else they’re no longer productive.
I’m willing to carry any burden You’ve assigned to me.
But I admit there are times I’m afraid to lighten my load
because I’m afraid of what others might say or do.
Down deep, I know that spirit of fear does not come from You.
O God!
Please give me the strength to bear the burdens that are mine
and the courage to cast off the rest.

Greetings; Casting off burdens is not as easy as tossing over board unnecessary weight.I casted off smoking 22 months ago.I casted off a serious alcohol problem 7 yrs.ago, drugs included.I like to say ” I “, when indeed it was not ” I ” but Jesus who tossed them over board. satan had me bound and I struggled like a fly on fly-paper.I am not tooting my horn here but,I have 10yrs. of prison & jail time done.Jesus has come to my aid ” MANY ” times.I have not seen the inside of a jail since 2000.All to the GLORY OF GOD! Much has been casted off-much is owed.I thank my Lord for my freedom & Forgiveness.Every now and then, another burdon gos overboard.Praise be to JESUS!!!
