Lazaroo – Monday, November 9, 2009

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with burning zeal:
“Wake up, you drunkards, and weep!”
(Joel 1:5)
Help me, Jesus.
I don’t want to be a drunkard.
Not on pot, crack, Lortabs or acid.
Not on beer, wine, cocktails or gin.
Not on books, radio, TV, or movies.
Not on music, iPhone, Xbox or porn.
Not on spouses, friends, parents or kids.
Not on eating, exercising, sleeping or sex.
Not on working, talking, driving, computing.
Not on E-mailing, facebooking, tweeting or texting.
Not on bragging, whining, boasting or complaining.
Not on church, fellowship, meetings or good deeds.
Please! Keep me
sharp!
aware!
focused!
and alert!
May I permit nothing to
dull my senses
cloud my thinking
distort my judgment
or twist my perspective.
May I allow no activity on this earth to distract me from the deep, inner prompting of Your voice
that leads me to deepest depths
and highest heights
in You.

Feeling better, and wanted to return to my lazaroo.”Addictions”. Some very deadly, some not so very deadly. But all addictive in nature.Oh-yes, all addictions have the power of hell locked within them.My Son is addicted to x-box games and most of his free time is consumed in games. As a father,I would like to take a hammer and smash them! But that is not my decision. He needs to over come this himself.I also have addictions that pull me away from my personal time with Jesus! Sad to say but true,we humans are prone to addictions in one area or another-Thankyou Jesus for being patient.
