Lazaroo – Tuesday, October 13, 2009
3 comments, Oct 13, 2009Open a vein and bleed the words of this Lazaroo aloud to God:
“King Cyrus brought out the articles belonging to the temple of the LORD, which Nebuchadnezzar had carried away from Jerusalem and had placed in the temple of his god.”
(Ezra 1:7)
That had to be an amazing feeling for Your people, Jesus –
to have something that dear, meaningful and precious –
something that had been outrageously desecrated
something they had lost
and thought they would never see again
returned to its rightful place.
All because of You!
You moved on the heart of this ancient Iranian ruler to do something totally unexpected
and a great wrong was made right.
LORD…
there is something else dear, meaningful and precious
something I’ve lost that has been desecrated
and fear will never be mine again.
I know I don’t deserve a second chance.
But in your mercy
if it is best
would you
for me
work that miracle of restoration once again?
