1 comment, Apr 27, 2009“We have heard a message from the LORD.”
(Obadiah 1:1)
My Bible contains thousands of messages from You, LORD.
It’s easy for me to forget that most believers have never owned even one piece of paper that held a message from You.
No wonder they were thrilled beyond measure when You sent a prophet with a word directly from You!
By contrast, my Bible contains three-quarters of a million words.
In the midst of this embarrassment of riches, have I lost their thrill? Have I forgotten what an amazing miracle it is to be able to read message after message from You, any time I desire to do so?
Is that why I have gone for long periods of my life without the desire to do so?
O Jesus!
May I never again take Your priceless, precious Word for granted.

A lot of times, I ponder how the Scriptures are written just for me in certain situations. God knew before time that I would need that Word. His love letter should NEVER gather dust.
