Mar 14, 2009 I Lazaroo.

“Naomi’s husband died, and she was left with her two sons.  After about ten years, [her sons] also died.”
(Ruth 1:3-5)

I can identify with her, LORD.  There are times when I feel utterly alone.

Sometimes it’s because I have no one with me.  But sometimes I feel loneliest with I’m surrounded by people.

There are times when I feel alone because everyone opposes me – or at least they would, if they knew what I had done or was thinking.

At other times, those sharp pangs of isolation spring from the awareness that I’m just…different from everyone else.

Either way, if they knew the real me down deep, I’m not at all sure anyone would like me.

But You do, Jesus!  When You look at me, You see the 1-of-a-kind masterpiece You lovingly designed me to be.

I’m never alone, am I?

I have You.

Thanks for the tie-in to to the “Footprints” poem, John. http://tinyurl.com/b2lw3t

I am reminded of a time where I thought even the Lord had abandoned me. I took that to Him. He honored my sincerety and filled me with His presence. I think that sometimes, we Christians pretend that we feel Him because we can’t bear the thought of God not really being there or even existing. However, I believe God wants our honesty more than He wants an empty (or pretending) faith. At least, that worked for me.

Even when I am alone I must remember footprints in the sand for no matter where I am God is there also!
