Lazaroo – Thursday, June 4, 2009

Jun 04, 2009 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with every fiber of your being:

“Some have wandered away…and turned to meaningless talk.”
(1 Timothy 1:6)

I’ve never wandered away from You, Jesus.

Well…not all the way.

Just a little.

Just enough to give me some wiggle room.

Just far enough away so I could do something I knew You wouldn’t like.

Then I hurried right back to You!

But I never abandoned my faith.  I never denied You as my Savior.

I just…

Oh, my God.

Is that what it means to turn to “meaningless talk?”

To continue to claim You as my LORD and Savior even though my life doesn’t back it up?

Guilty as charged.

I have wandered away and turned to meaningless talk!

O God!  O God!  O God!

With Your help, by Your Spirit, in Your strength:

Never again.

    Amen, Jeff. Amen.

It can be mentally difficult to balance the oppression of failure with the liberation of being in Him. Enter: Grace and Mercy. Thank you, Lord!
