Lazaroo – Wednesday, March 4, 2009

Mar 04, 2009 I Lazaroo.

“After me will come one more powerful than I, the thongs of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and untie.”  (Mark 1:7)

No wonder You chose John the Baptist to announce Your coming, Jesus!

I desperately need that kind of humility – strong, uncompromised, sincere.

But help me understand as clearly as John did the exact assignment You have given me – then fill me, anoint me, direct me, empower me to carry it all the way out!

And should any praise come my way as You perform Your one-of-a-kind work through me…may I make it as crystal clear as John did:

Every shred of the glory belongs to You and You alone.

Numbers 12:3-10; 1 Peter 5:5; Ephesians 2:10; Colossians 1:29; Luke 17:7-10

Steve – Absolutely! Anything I can do to help others find the blessings that I am receiving will only confirm to me that there is something bigger than us moving with this project. Thanks for that encouragement.

Jeff – thank you so much for all your great input. Your comment, “There is a synergy there that helps me feel connected at a personal level” especially meant a lot to me. That is exactly what I have been praying would happen! Do I have your permission to quote your comments, as a way of encouraging other people to try Lazaroo?

    I have really enjoyed this.

Admittedly, I didn’t do yesterday’s Lazaroo yesterday. I did finish it seconds ago and commented on humility. Then, to stay in order, I read today’s. It fit so well with what I just thought about for yesterday’s Lazaroo that I got an extra blessing from it. There is a synergy there that helps me feel connected at a personal level. Thanks for that.

I am loving this devotional: it’s short, concise, and something to think about all day. BUT..what happened to the reference scriptures? The first two days I could just click on each one and go right there. Now they aren’t highlighted so I use my own Bible to find them. Can we go back to the “click and you’re there” format?

Just what I needed to hear today. I’m praying that God will use me in great ways and I need to remember that every good thing comes from Him–and all glory goes to Him!

how amazing that in God’s eyes what He calls us to do is just as important as what He called John to do… and i know that if i don’t do my part, God will find someone else who’s willing to do it. please God, keep me humble and sensitive to Your voice.

Thank you for developing this idea, as I have always struggled to make the time to read the Bible each day. I do have a quiet time with God, but this allows me to take a part of scripture with me each day and kick off my one on one time with God.

God is definitely using Lazaroo to speak to me! It’s funny though, as we do deeper there is a direct correlation to an increase in the enemy’s attacks.

Reminds me of one of my favorite quotes.

“the glory of God reflected in you- enrages hell, it is this at which the enemy of darkness flings his mightiest of weapons.” -william gurnell
