Lazaroo – Friday, June 5, 2009

Jun 05, 2009 I Lazaroo.

Pray the words of this Lazaroo aloud, with no-holds-barred surrender:

“Why does your face look so sad when you are not ill? This can be nothing but sadness of heart.”
(Nehemiah 2:2)

I’ve been there, Jesus.

No one knows that better than You.

In fact, even though You have showered me with more good things than I can count…

…there is sadness within me now.

Most people couldn’t guess the cause of my sadness.

There are days when I can almost hide it from myself.

Still I wonder:  Does it show on my face?  Does anyone notice?

If they do, does anyone really care?

If not – why should they?  I have no right to be sad.  The world is full of people who carry burdens far heavier than mine.

But that’s not how You see it.

If I hurt, You hurt.

You’re my Best Friend in the whole world.

So I give this sadness

     to You.

What a great reminder to know that my burdens never go un-noticed by God. Even when it seems like nobody else could possibly understand the burdens that life throws my way, it brings me peace to know that God understands and is there for me.
