Lazaroo – Saturday, April 16, 2011
Apr 16, 2011 I Lazaroo.
Understand that you are on a treasure hunt as you pray aloud the words of this Lazaroo:
“When the creatures moved, I heard the sound of their wings, like the roar of rushing waters, like the voice of the Almighty, like the tumult of an army.”
(Ezekiel 1:24)
This is one of the sweetest rewards You save for those who dig deeper in Your Word, Jesus!
Oh, absolutely – You reward those
who skim Your Word
read it casually
who skip here and there
looking for parts that seem relevant to them.
But there comes a day when I finally wake up
to the stunning treasure of Your holy Scriptures
to their unfailing power to transform my life!
No more skimming the surface.
From now on…
I dive deep
and discover treasures like this one
hidden in today’s verse.
The surface reader sees Ezekiel is describing the sound made by these creatures’ wings
but overlooks that You’ve just revealed
the sound of Your voice.
